Pace of Change: -Mechanization: In my opinion, the best Mechanical thing of the Industrial Revolution was the Wright Brother's plane. It has inspired so many more great inventions such as, the helicopter, and commercial planes. I think this is the greatest because it also saves lives. It does this because before, people had to go on a boat for at least a week, and if they got sick, and there was no doctor, then what? They would have to wait or die.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wright_brothers
-Innovation: Innovation is something new. A new thing was the steam engine (train). It was mainly coal transport but was also commercial. I think it was a big thing because it inspired so much. Things it inspired were things such as subway and metro rails. I think it was important because it saved time. Before it, things had to be transported by horse pretty much, but it made it a lot faster. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_engine
-Units Per Man Hour: This means how much one person made in one hour. They used this to see how much they could make using different methods. For example, 5 men using a method produce ten, but when using another method, they made 2. This told the employers what method to use, which helped the make more. This was basically the assembly line. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assembly_line
Social Change:
-Agricultural Revolution: This time period is when things like the plow and tractor came around. It helped people farm and revolutionized the farming industry. It helped farmers make food and other things faster which was what the industrial revolution was about. http://inventors.about.com/od/indrevolution/a/AgriculturalRev.htm
-Factory Work: This was horrible. They took everybody and put them to work, even children! This also caused men, who were good at their jobs, to lose them to machines. This also caused women who would sell things they sew to lose income because they couldn’t compete with machinery. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Factory_life_during_the_industrial_revolution
-City Slum Dwelling: This wouldn’t be fun.It was pretty much when the poor people would wander the streets begging.
-Push factors of the Agricultural Revolution: A couple of push factor were famine or droughts. If you are a farmer, there is nothing to protect you from famine or droughts because since you would make most of your own things, there would be no way for you to be protected. Another was conflicts between farms. Let’s say a cow got loose, if someone else also lost a cow, and they found one. How would they know you it belongs to? http://www.st-dunstans.somerset.sch.uk/pdf/Coursework/Geog%20Coursework/GCSE%20REVISION%202007/3-Rural-Urban%20Migration%20in%20LEDCs.pdf

Economic Migration:
-Rural to Urban Migration: There were many reasons to move to the city. One was employment. There were more jobs in the city then in the farms because it was a new and faster way to make things. I think another reason to move was peer pressure. Think about how you would feel if all of your friends moved somewhere else and you were left alone. http://www.st-dunstans.somerset.sch.uk/pdf/Coursework/Geog%20Coursework/GCSE%20REVISION%202007/3-Rural-Urban%20Migration%20in%20LEDCs.pdf
-Pull Factors of the Industrial Cities: A large pull factor was jobs. The income for a farmer really wasn’t much because they ate what they farmed, wore what they made, drank what they collected, and got some money from selling their products. A second pull was luxury, in the city they could have more. http://www.st-dunstans.somerset.sch.uk/pdf/Coursework/Geog%20Coursework/GCSE%20REVISION%202007/3-Rural-Urban%20Migration%20in%20LEDCs.pdf
